SafetyABC.com is a web site that provides tools for organizations to enhance their Due Diligence by providing guides, templates and forms to customize specific program elements. As tools are revised and converted to current technology, they will be posted.

After several years of experience in the safety field, Mr. Doran has come to the conclusion that safety is frequently influenced by politics.

Currently, research indicates that there are very few legislative standards for safety. In other works, there is generally "performance based legislation" without "legislative guidelines".

This essentially means that everything is fine until something happens, then investigators ask you to prove that you used due diligence in your practices.

En-Safe is introducing a series of guides to Best Practice. The guides are a perfect solution for any company in need of a complete safety program element. The first to be published was Construction Heat. Our most current publication is Confined Space. These forms and templates are designed for various levels of an organization emphasizing protection for the site level. They are generically designed but customizable to most applications.

The guides are not developed for use as legal standards and we do not advocate their use as such. However, in the absence of legislative standards our guides are, as the name implies, a guide to best practice. We encourage our clients to "take the best and leave the rest".

These guidelines are a work in progress. It was decided by Mr. Doran that he would design, without prejudice and a political agenda, what is in his expert opinion, the minimum requirements for best safety practice.

It is not appropriate for any individuals or entities to impose the following guidelines of best practice; local legislative requirements prevail over these guidelines. However, if safetyabc.com's guidelines set a higher standard than local legislative requirements, then individuals or entities could impose them internally or through their contract administration.
